The Beer Lovers' Tour
of the Pacific Northwest
In 1965, Fritz Maytag opened the Anchor Steam Brewery
in San Francisco, a defining moment in the "craft beer renaissance"
that has since washed over North America. By the 1980's the West Coast
had become the spearhead of this brewing movement. Today, from Vancouver
Island down to the Bay Area we find a concentration of small breweries
that rivals some of the great brewing regions of Europe. Coincidentally,
this happens to be some of the most spectacular scenery in both Canada
and the United States and provides just the right backdrop for our next
Beer Lovers' Tour.
PROPOSED DATE: TBA
PROPOSED DURATION: 2 weeks. DRAFT ITINERARY: Vancouver, Vancouver Island
(including Tofino and Victoria), Washington State (including Seattle,
Mount Rainier and the Yakima Valley hop-growing district, Oregon (including
Columbia River, Portland and scenic Coastal Drive), California (including
North Coast, Napa Valley --yes we like wine too!--and San Francisco).
Specific breweries and wineries TBA. Price TBA. If you would be at all
interested in joining this tour, check back to the website this summer
for more detailed information

Real Ale and Audio Lovers'

take an active interest in the world of beer also share an passion for
music and the toys of the so-called "high-end" audio industry.
This tour is designed especially for us. We're going straight to the source
on both counts - an eclectic combination of English real-ale brewery visits
and legendary UK high-end audio "meet-the- manufacturer" tours,
with time in between for some live music performances and sightseeing
. PROPOSED DATE: TBA PROPOSED DURATION: 8 days (one week off work!) PROPOSED
