We
have been looking for an out of town tour to offer Beer Lovers that
includes la Belle Provence. We are very excited to announce our first
ever trip to the Chambly Festival of Beer. This event is regarded
by many to be one of the finest beer festivals in Canada. A must
do for any beer lover.
Proposed Itinerary:
Friday, August 29, 2008
This day will begin in the morning, starting in Toronto, (location
TBD). There we'll board our luxury motor coach for the drive to Montreal,
PQ. On the way, we will be visiting the Barley Days Brewery in
Picton, Ontario, for a quick taste and a bite to eat. Then we'll
continue on to Montreal, where we will have a VIP tour of the McAuslan
Brewery, renowned for their fabulous range of lagers and ales. After
checking into our hotel, we will have the evening free to dine and explore
the famous pubs of dowtown Montreal.
Saturday, August 30, 2008
Departing our hotel at 10:00 a.m. we
will make the short drive to Chambly, where we will enjoy a private
tour of the Unibroue Brewery, followed by a beer tasting and lunch at
the brewery restaurant. Unibroue was one of the first North American
breweries to produce authentic Belgian-style ales.
After lunch, we will walk across to
the famous "La Fete Bieres & Saveurs", otherwise
known as the Chambly Festival of Beer. We'll be free to roam the
grounds to taste at our leisure and to appreciate the the hundreds of
beer and food products reflecting the different regions of Quebec. At
8:30 p.m. we'll meet the bus for the short drive back to our hotel.
The rest of the evening will be free.
Sunday, August 31, 2008
After breakfast, we'll board the coach, and make our way back
to Toronto, with a short lunch time stop at Kingston's legendary Brew
Pub.
